Pioneer Day

My 24th of July had a rough start! I was suppose to meet at my parent's house @ 7:50 to go to the parade and my alarm didn't go off! AHHH, so needless to say Riley did not look how I would have preferred and I was a little bit grumpy at first but we made it in the nick of time to the parade!
See, don't I look so happy? I really wasn't that bad I just didn't know this picture was being taken. We have always gone to the parade with my mom's side of the family. It is a fun tradition and makes me miss my grandparents so much, but I still love to go.
Then we went swimming. It was so fun but reminded me why I love my little quiet pool we usually go to! Riley was everywhere and so hard to keep track of. This is my sweet mom and Boston just chilling in the wading pool.
Ashley, Brynn and Riley
The whole gang sitting on the lawn eating and talking.
After all this we went to my parent's for a BBQ, games and fireworks. We had such a fun night but my camera battery died so I wasn't able to get any pics :(

BOATING

I know I have been posting a ton lately, but summer seems to be really busy for us and there are a lot of things I want to make sure I get on here, if anything just for me!
Jason got to be a human tube, we were going really fast dragging him along on the surfboard. I just closed my eyes cause it scared me to death!
This picture I put on here hoping that it will make my hubby not want to pull any more funny faces in pictures! Me and Jas just chillin on the boat!
I LOVE to wakeboard. It is my favorite thing ever. I did crash really hard this time though, but I still love it.
Jason is really pretty good at wakeboarding, he got some pretty good air this trip.
We had so much fun and I can't wait to go again!

OUR CraZy WEEKEND

Okay, well here is how it goes...
First, Friday night Jason and I decided we needed to celebrate our anniversary. So we thought it would be fun to head to PF Changs...sort of got a late start and ended up at Tepanyaki. Still fun, and fabulous I LOVE Tepanyaki. Jason was too big of a chicken to ask anyone to take a picture of us (I must have been too or I would have done it!) so this is what we ended up with. I was really bugged just ask him, but I wanted a picture and he says I got one :) Jason's parents were nice enough to take the kids overnight for us so then Saturday morning I got to sleep in, yes, that's right I slept until 9:30 I don't know the last time I did that! Saturday was spent just relaxing and doing nothing without the kids. We did go to lunch at Tony's which was super good, and then we went and picked up the kids. Thanks Curt and Robyn I needed that!
Then, Saturday night I stayed up cleaning because my house needed some serious attention! Ended up doing laundry and cleaning until 3:00 am. I used to do this all the time when I was working but it has been a while, I kind of liked it I think I will go back to that. This leads into my great picture you see here. Sunday night Jason's family invited us up to the fireworks at the college. I was really tired but I love fireworks so we went anyway! It decided to rain for a minute so Jason ran and got our umbrella this is what happened because of the wind. Normally this wouldn't have been so funny to me but keep in mind I was very tired. I laughed about it for quite some time!
Throughout all this MiKayla had nicely put Boston back into his car seat to get him out of the rain. I put him up on one of the camp chairs with a blanket over him and had to run down to the car to get something. I asked Jason if he would hold on to the car seat to be sure my precious baby boy didn't fall off the chair. Oops I forgot that he wasn't buckled in. While I was gone he managed to finagle out of the chair (which he does all the time, normally he is on the ground though) and fell onto the ground :( poor little guy. He was fine though, but it topped off my funny night! Anyway, it was a fun weekend and I loved it!

WHAT'S A GIRL TO DO?

This is what happens when you lose your mind! Jason has been working a lot lately (which I completely understand and I am so grateful for his job) but I feel like I am going crazy! Yes, this is a casserole dish full of stuffed pasta shells. Somehow it managed to slip out of the fridge right after I put it in and shatter into a million pieces, and yes I sat on the floor and cried before I cleaned it up. Just a little bit about my life right now! Someday I will laugh at this time in my life I am sure, someday.

Marsh Lake

Brooklyn and Kim invited us to go camping up to Marsh Lake over this last weekend. We had a blast. I love camping and everything about it...except...there were mosquitoes like crazy! I wish you could see that we all look like we have the chicken pox in these pictures. Regardless, it was still fun!
Jason and his perfect marshmallow. He is notorious for roasting marshmallows to perfection, he made me at least 10 of them!
Me and my favorite little guy! He was such a trooper even though he was stuck in a pack and play all weekend. It was Jason and I's 7th anniversary so we had to take an anniversary picture.
Yes Brooklyn I really put you on my blog! Brooklyn, Kim and Bridger.
Riley and Jason taking off for a ride on the four wheeler.
Preston and Riley love each other, we are so lucky they get along so well.

THROUGH THE YEARS

Happy 7th anniversary Jas! I love you and I am so lucky to have spent the last seven years with you in my life. I am so grateful for the life we have created together, we have two beautiful kids and our own little family. We have come so far, I couldn't ask for more. I look forward to forever! Here are some pics of us "Through the Years".

FOURTH OF JULY!!!!

Our day always begins @ 7:00 am at Jeremiah's! This is Boston, I think he enjoyed his breakfast more than anyone and he didn't even order off the menu!
Our little family outside of Jeremiah's
Then we head to the parade and our city's festivities for a little bit. Riley and MaKenzie ran in the race as did all the kids and J.R.
This is Riley participating in the sawdust hunt. She was so cute, she dug and dug and dug some more would take her stuff to Jason and go back to dig!
Then we went back to our house for a BBQ and some water games. Normally the adults play water games too...but the morning scared us all off due to the weather, by the time we got eating it was beautiful and we all wished we had our suits! This is Preston on the slip 'n' slide...his dad left for a second and told us he wouldn't like the splashing stuff...a minute later here he was! So much for that.
The kids in the little pool, they loved it!
Then it was off to the fireworks. So much fun I love summer and fireworks I could go everyday. This is Jason's sister MiKayla and her friend Kennedy with Boston.
Riley, Granna and Pappa at the fireworks.
It was a great but VERY VERY long day! Our kids woke up way early that morning and were going on no naps! I love the Fourth of July!

FAMILY AND FIREWORKS

On Saturday we were able to spend the whole day with family! I love days like this. To start off we went to a family reunion for my mom's side of the family, we ate and played games and they also had a guy there to do balloons for the kids! It was a lot of fun to catch up with my family. Then that night we went up to Weber High for Pleasant View's fireworks. We do this every year with Penni and J.R. and there little family. What a blast, we had a great day.
Penni and J.R. and their family
Just the four of us! My sweet baby boy, he was so cute he loved the fireworks.
This is Riley at the family reunion.
This is the balloon she had made. It is Cinderella if you can't tell. The balloon guy was excellent he could make almost anything they wanted. She treats this balloon like a doll, I am not looking forward to the time it pops!

Oh What Do You Do In The Summertime?

When the pools pump is broken....
you jump on the tramp with the sprinklers on!
The other day we went up to the pool and it was closed due to the pump being broken, we were all dressed and ready to go to the pool so we decided we would go back to my mom's and have a little party of our own. The kids loved it and we had so much fun.  It was good to do something a little different.  The pool is back up and running yeah for us!

HAPPY DADDY DAY

For Father's Day I thought I would be a really nice wife and get Jason something that he really really wanted! So here it is...
Nope, not the truck! He wishes
The grill. Jason LOVES to grill we call him the grillmaster in our family. Ours was no longer big enough so we went and got him a new one. And no, we still haven't gotten our railing up. We have about a zillion projects that need to be done and that is the first to come! Happy Father's Day Jas. You are a great father and husband we couldn't ask for more. We love you. Thanks for all you do for us. I also wanted to tell my daddy that I love him and thank him for everything as well as Jason's dad. Happy Father's Day to all of you!

SWIMMING

I have been talking about the "pool" for at least three months now. We have only been able to go twice so far this summer thanks to the rain. Today I decided to take some pics to show our little peace of heaven. It isn't much, but the kids love it and I am actually able to do something that I enjoy as well. I LOVE going to the pool and I have gone to this pool since I was a baby. When I was a kid we went every day Mon-Fri after our chores were done. I spent every summer here and when I got a full time job it was the hardest thing to not be able to go. I am so excited for my kids to have the memory of this pool as well. We love you Rolling Hills!!!
My mom, Kenzie and Brynn
Penni and Brynn. Brynn learned how to swim without her life jacket today! Ashley, just chillin' Titan and Bridger hanging out in the shade. Kim and Preston Me, Boston, Riley and Kenzie swimming in the baby pool Boston absolutely loves to just hang out in his tube! Riley is such a good swimmer as well, she is doing really well in the baby pool, soon we will have to move on to the big pool.

50 Things About Me

Carly dared me to do this, and I have nothing to do right now amazingly enough so here it goes... 1. I love hanging out with my family. All of them extended and immediate. 2. I love my own little family. It is an amazing experience to be a wife and a mother. 3. I play the piano. Not too many people know this about me and it was once a well kept secret until some one in my ward found out!! But I do LOVE to play. 4. I eat salsa plain. 5. I am obsessed about Riley's hair. I can't stand for it to be in her face. 6. The nickname my family has for me is Roonie. Don't know why, it just is. 7. My favorite season is Summer. I love to swim, boat, camp and you name it I love summer. 8. I stay up really late at night. Usually at least until midnight. 9. Thanks to Carly I now vacuum every day! Sucker. 10. I am the Primary President in my ward, which I love. The kids are awesome. 11. I hate fish except for Tuna. 12. I have a Chocolate Lab named Faith, who was my baby until my real babies came. But I love her. 13. I worked at America First Credit Union for eight years. It was the best job, other than being a mommy. 14. I was married in the Bountiful Temple almost seven years ago, to my eternal sweetheart. 15. I love to just go for a drive. Jason and I do this quite often, it is good to put kids to sleep! 16. I am a procrastinator, this is no joke, I am awful at this. 17. I am an organizational freak, (weird since I procrastinate) but I have to have everything in it's place. 18. I am really demanding, it's my way or the highway. This is something I am working on. 19. I own every season of Newlyweds with Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. Too bad they didn't work out. 20. I struggle being a good friend, but I love all my friends. I am not good at keeping in touch. 21. I enjoy jumping on the trampoline. I am like a little kid when it comes to that. 22. I wish I was in shape enough to go for a good hike. I like to hike. 23. I hate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. 24. I will eat a peanut butter sandwich though. 25. I love Lagoon and rides in general. 26. I especially like to go on road trips. We used to go to Nebraska when I was little with all my cousins and stuff and they were some of the best times ever. 27. I am allergic to Penicillin. 28. I do really stupid things, a lot! 29. I like to play games. 30. I have stomach ulcers that act up every once and a while. I have had them since I was in Jr. High. 31. I sleep on my stomach. 32. I have really funny looking feet. Jason makes fun of them. 33. I am a tosser. I throw things out all the time. If something is missing Jason always asks me if I threw it away. I have been known to throw out things I shouldn't have. Oops. 34. I am suppose to take care of our garden. Right now it is looking a lot like a weed garden. 35. I love to read. 36. When it is basketball season I only like the playoff games. It is much more exciting when there is something at stake. 37. Maybe for our ten year anniversary. 42. My favorite chips are salt and vinegar. 43. I get nervous when Jason drives and try to tell him what to do. He doesn't like this at all. 44. I am a fight picker (with my hubby that is) I will egg it on for quite sometime before I will give it up. 45. I wouldn't mind living on a beach someday. I love the ocean. 46. Thanks Car for getting me to do it.

Fingernail Painting Frenzie

Riley absolutely LOVES to have her nails painted. As a matter of fact we probably paint them at least once a week if not more! She has gotten really good at sitting there while I paint them but she asks me like thirty times "are they dry yet mom?" It drives me crazy, but yet I never turn her down. It has turned out to be a really good bonding experience for us! There is never a dull moment with this sweet little girl and I love it. These are just some pictures of us after we painted our nails tonight. I let her pick her color and she usually picks pink but tonight she went with orange for a change! I will usually paint mine the same color as hers, but the orange is a little bold for my fingernails. I'd go orange on my toes, but not my fingers!
