Thanksgiving 2009

These are a bit out of order! But I need to get them on here. For Thanksgiving we went out to Stauffer's house. It was so much fun :) They had a pinata (not sure of the spelling on that one!) for the kids which Riley absolutely loved, anything to do with C-A-N-D-Y she LOVES!!! The food was delicious and the company was great. The pictures are in the slide show below.

All Dressed Up

Every year my mom and dad buy the grandkids Christmas outfits :) It is such a fun tradition and we always make sure we get a picture of all of them in front of my mom and dad's tree. So here they are this year! It is really hard to get a picture of six kids and have it turn out the way you want. Boston would not stay in place, he kept jumping forward so this is what you get. Aren't they all adorable?

Ogden's Christmas Village

Every year it is tradition that we go and visit Christmas Village. Here are a few of our pics from the very very cold evening!
Boston was pretty bundled up! He looked like a little marshmallow man :)
My two babes on Santa's lap. Riley is warming up quite nicely to the idea of seeing Santa! Boston on the other hand...well we have to give him the candy cane first thing so that he doesn't cry.
Grandma Dee Dee with Riley and Ashley.
Uncle J.R. and the four girls: Ashley, Brynn, Riley and Kenzie.
Last but not least our little family. Jason is a hot chocolate freak! He had two of them that night and his daughter is taking right after him. She wants hot chocolate EVERY morning with her breakfast.
As you may know, I am a bit behind on blogging! I have a ton more pictures to post but wanted to get some of these on here. Hopefully we will get some of the other fun stuff we have been doing on here pretty soon.

Happy Halloween!!!

We had so much fun this Halloween! It is a lot more fun since Riley is getting bigger. She loved Trick-or-Treating and didn't want to stop. She got to wear her costume almost everyday the week before Halloween and told me she wants to be Minnie Mouse again next year....I told her I am sure she will change her mind. Boston was Mickey and he did not want to keep the hat on! He got some good treats Trick-or-Treating as well :) We had fun visiting family and doing fun things. There are a couple pictures of Riley at her pre-school party. I was able to go and help and had a blast. At the end of the party they sang some songs for the parents, it was so much fun. Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!

Jack-O-Lantern

So far our week for Halloween has been really busy. Riley had her field trip, we had a play group carnival, Riley had her Halloween party at school and then we still have the Trunk-or-Treat and real Trick-or-Treating coming up....I have decided to save all the costume pictures for one post. We did however carve pumpkins tonight and it was so much fun. Riley wasn't sure what to think of it :)

Here they are on our porch!

I never claimed to be a professional pumpkin carver! I have never been very good at it. These two are Jason's and Riley's. Jason's is the big one and Riley's is the little one. Jason offered to be the photographer for the night so we didn't get many pictures, he is funny like that :)

Riley's 1st Field Trip

Riley had her first field trip for preschool at Dabb's Pumpkin patch! It was so much fun. She loved the "Pumpkin Man" as they called him which was Lyle Dabb with a Jack-O-Lantern on his head! She wasn't afraid I was so surprised. It was pretty cold and snowed on us for a bit, but we loved it. Riley had so much fun.

Girl Party (with just a few boys)

During the Priesthood session of conference we had a "Girl Party" with a few boys which would be Boston and Titan! The girls thought it was so much fun. I brought over my foot soak (which I wish I had more time to use), nail polish and some pedicure stuff. I used to be quite regular at giving myself pedicures pre-children! We also made a homemade face mask out of rolled oats and bananas and cut up cucumbers for an eye mask :)
Ashley had just had her spend-the-night with my mom and dad and she picked this little make-up kit, so she did everyone's make-up as well!

Pumpkin Patch

It is a tradition that the first Saturday in October we always visit Dabb's and pick out pumpkins...last year we were unable to go due to Boston being brand spankin' new so I was so excited this year! Riley was so cute and she couldn't decide which pumpkin she wanted, it was funny to watch her make up her mind. I can tell she is going to be like her mom...a little indecisive if you will!!! Boston just loved to play in them. We had a great time.

Boston's 1st Birthday

My baby boy turned one on October 1st! I can't believe it, time goes by so fast. Here he is enjoying his CAKE!!!
He was slow to start but had so much fun once he got going. This is his CIRCUS TRAIN cake. Can you say project????? This thing took me two whole days to make, but was well worth it, he loved it. The little caboose in the back has a little sculpture made from fondant that resembles Boston in bars as well, that was his smash cake. All the animals are made of fondant that I made the day before I actually decorated the cake. It took me until 2:00 am to bake all 5 of the cakes that were necessary to make it and the next day was spent frosting and sticking things on! By the time this picture was taken the smoke stack was starting to fall due to Riley bumping the table! It was on straight at one time I promise. I also had to put some video footage on of Bossy opening one of his presents. He was really cute and did a great job! This doesn't show it because by the time Jason got the camera going he had stopped, but he was pounding on this one and screaming as he opened it! It was absolutely darling. Oh how I love this little boy! Happy Birthday little man WE LOVE YOU and are so blessed to have you in our lives.

The Zoo

Every year on Labor Day we head to Utah's Hogle Zoo. Last year was FABULOUS it had rained that morning and when we got there there was hardly anyone there, it was quite cool and we had a ton a fun. This year....
we waited 45 minutes just to get in the door! Yes, that's right, 45 minutes. It was super hot and guess what? We still had a ton of fun!!!
F.Y.I. Ashley is hilarious!!! I am not going to say why, she just is and I love her to death :) Last year Riley was terribly afraid of the Chimps. Not this year! Yay I think that means she is growing up a little (sniff sniff). I am excited but not so excited about that.

Mine and Cassie's Birthday Dinner

Okay I realize that I have got to do something about my camera! I am working on it but for now I am posting my fuzzy pictures! This goes from left to right: Cassie, Carly, Crystal, me and angel Emily (due to the light right on her face!). We went to Goodwood for mine and Cassie's birthday and had so much fun. I love getting together with my friends and wish I could do it more often. Thanks girls it was a blast.
