Diddy Dum Diddy Do
About a month ago we bought Riley a Beta fish. This is not the first fish she has had, unfortunately I am not able to keep golfish alive so we went for the rugged tough Beta. She is so cute with him. She named him Diddy. She talks to him all the time and she loves to help feed him. Yes, we keep him in her room she has never bothered him before. Until tonight. We had just come home from the gym and Jason and I were in the kitchen getting dinner ready when I hear a super loud crash. Normally, I would wait to see if I heard crying but for some reason I went running into Riley's room only to find that the fish tank was not on her dresser...it was on the floor. Diddy was lying there helpless as I screamed for Jason. Lucky for Diddy Jason is a fast thinker and had me get a cup of water to put him in while Riley sat there bawling hysterically. We did get it cleaned up and lucky for her Diddy seems to be doing okay. She has been warned that if she touches the fish tank again, well we didn't really have a super great punishment because I am not about to commit fish murder, but she knows that she better not do it again. What a night. My camera battery is dead so I was unable to get a picture of the enormous mess. Never a dull moment with a three year old!

That is soooo hilarious!!!! I kept wanting our gold fish to die, and then when it did I was kinda sad...but I got over it fast:)
Lucky Diddy. What a girl, you can only look so much and then you simply do have to touch!
That is so dang funny. I don't know if I would trust Mason he would probable do the same thing and tip it over to. Or like Ang said you do have to touch after so long:) Im glad diddy made it through the horror story though.
Well atleast he survived!! I'm sure Riley would have been really sad if he hadn't!
We have a Beta, too ~ the first one was three years old before he died. Our new one, Danger, is only about six months old...but they seem to be able to take a lot of abuse from the kids...tapping on the glass...that kind of stuff. Poor Riley ~ I am sure she felt bad. That's a good lesson about not touching, though.
Hey Steph! I thought it was pretty crazy that I ran into Jason too, after just getting in touch through our blogs! I wish you could've been with him so I could've seen you! It has been so long, your kids are so cute. Riley looks so much like you!
